You may become a sponsor in many ways. Your group or company can choose to Adopt –A-Room (see information below), sponsor our golf tournament, or simply donate funds to be used by the organization.

Volunteer

April’s Angels is a run by a team of volunteers, and all work on our rooms is done by volunteers as well. We need individuals with a wide range of experience including the following:

1. skilled mural painters
2. sewers
3. designers
4. painters, both professional and amateur
5. shoppers
6. administrative help with mass mailings, newsletters, etc.
7. misc. helpers to staff various events such as the garage sale, golf tournament
   

Adopt - A - Room Program

In 2006 we launched our Adopt-A-Room program, and had 3 groups participate. The Adopt-A-Room program lets different civic and community groups adopt a room in one of 3 ways. A group can 1). Provide the labor necessary for a room 2). Provide the funds needed to complete a room ($2000.00) or 3). Provide both.  If a group chooses to provide the labor for a room, they will be allowed to work with the child and family directly on designing, creating, and implementing the final project. They will be there when the child and family comes home to see their new room, and get to experience first hand the joy of knowing they have changed a child’s life. It’s a very unique experience in that volunteers actually get to see a project through from beginning to end, and get to meet and work with the child who the project directly benefits.

In 2006 the following groups adopted rooms:

1. The Raleigh Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Development Team
2. Edenton Street Methodist Church Young Adults (Raleigh, NC)
3. Linda Dickerson Interiors (Durham, NC)

Charity Events

Golf Tournament

Our annual April’s Angels Fantasy Golf Tournament will be held on November 5th at Prestonwood Country Club in Cary. You may register as an individual, or as a team. Registration is $125 per player, or $500 per team and includes cart and greens fees, lunch, beverages, and a BBQ and awards ceremony after play. To register, please mail the attached form or call Victoria Bloise at 919-637-3670.
